So, what is SEO?

I think it’s this – “announcing great content to the correct people”.

What is SEO?

Or, if you like, you can continue to produce mediocre content and announce it to anyone…and die.

Man, that is simple! But isn’t that the answer to “What is content marketing?”

Nope, Gaz. This is where most seos go wrong…

This is 85% of what makes google tick (if seos dont believe me then they are not listening to what google has been saying from the beginning) …so it is much more about seo than what seos determine ‘seo’ to be.

    Barabasi….network science….Google

Is ‘content marketing’ seo or is ‘seo’ seo?

Damn, I’ve been doing it wrong!!

I’m not saying content marketing isn’t a big chunk of SEO, but that doesn’t make it equivalent to SEO in my mind. I’m made mostly of water, but I’m not a puddle :)

I guess as you say SEO means different things to different people.

‘Gaz’, you have been doing it wrong then if you don’t believe that great content beats any efforts by a SEO to make a site with lesser content better ranked.
