cheapflights.co.uk vs skyscanner.net vs netflights.com – SEO Report for ‘cheap flights’

OK, I thought I would make a regular post that tests the output of my SEO Industry Benchmarking tool.

This time, I am comparing three major sites for the term, “cheap flights” in the UK version of Google.  I have simply searched for the phrase, and then chosen three sites that are competing for the phrase (I have chosen cheap flight specialists rather than holiday companies) and then simply pressed enter – and the following report was generated.

OK, first thoughts are that I wasn’t aware of skyscanner.net – I haven’t spent much time in the travel industry for years now. I of course have heard of cheapflights.co.uk and netflights.com from advertising and general web use over the years.

Unique IP Address Links

One of the things of note, having gone through the report, is the amount of unique IP address links that skyscanner.net has compared to cheapflights.co.uk.  Certainly a great achievement to be way ahead there.  Netflights comes in a distant third – but I have a feeling that many of their links are of better quality ‘pound-for-pound’ than the others…maybe we will see later down the report.  Read the rest of this entry »
