link building flowchartI have created a link building flowchart, so that the everyman of the internet world can get a handle on how to make a site successful in Google.

Whilst there are a million things and more that are required to make anything successful on the web (mainly hard work and great content), there are also some constants, one being great links from great sites.  This will never change despite hundreds of thousands of sites being drastically hit for poor linking techniques (mainly because of using poor/lazy SEO companies) at the time of writing.

Trust me, if you have 20%+ of the best hub sites in an industry linking to you, then you do not need an SEO company.

Go forth and do stuff…

* For those that are less savvy with terms, ‘brand’ link building refers to linking to sites with the brand/site name. For example, linking to http://www.coca-cola.co.uk with ‘Coca Cola’, or ‘coke’, instead of ‘sugar free drink’ (thanks for the suggestion, Milton).
